Special Gardens Community
Event hosting policy
These guidelines apply to every event hosted inside the community. They exist to keep the place safe and comfortable for the people who live here.
1
Notification and approval
- Advance notice
- Tell the property manager at least 10 days before the event. Include the type of event, the date and time, how long it runs, how many guests you expect, and where in the community it will be.
- Exception
- An event supported by more than 30 signed residents may be considered on shorter notice.
- Approval
- Every event is subject to approval by property management, judged against these guidelines. It takes 2–3 days. A refusal comes with a written explanation.
- Large events
- More than 50 attendees, or any outside vendor, may require a special permit with its own conditions or restrictions.
2
Access control
- Guest access
- Hosts are responsible for making sure every guest has a valid pass. A full attendee list goes to the property manager, and identification is verified at the gate.
- Security oversight
- Community security cover all access points, verify entry, and handle any concern that arises during the event.
3
Noise
- Quiet hours
- Every event observes community quiet hours: 10:00pm to 7:00am.
- Sound
- Keep it to a respectful level throughout. Management may set a specific decibel limit where necessary.
- Amplified sound
- May be restricted depending on the time, the location, and the nature of the event.
4
Waste
- Disposal
- All waste goes in the bins and containers management provides.
- After the event
- The host clears waste, spills and debris promptly once the event ends.
- Recycling
- Separate recyclables and dispose of them appropriately.
5
Safety and liability
- First aid
- Keep basic first-aid supplies available for the duration.
- Emergencies
- Know the community emergency procedures and key numbers — they are in the homeowner’s manual, or call the property manager on +233 257 960 825.
- Host responsibility
- The resident hosting is fully responsible for their guests’ safety, and for any damage or injury arising from the event.
6
Enforcement
- Intervention
- Where there is a disturbance, property management may intervene and, if it comes to it, end the event.
- Penalties
- Non-compliance may result in a fine of GHS 1500.00 or other disciplinary measures.
